Under Black Skies
La Fee Verte, Rotterdam
Under Black Skies is an art installation with drawings, illuminated ‘relic boxes’, an original mural painting by SellFable aka Daniël van Nes. The installation also included a performance by artist Daniël van Nes and dancer Alina Fejzo, accompanied by a specially composed soundscape by the artist.
The exhibition is inspired by biotechnological developments and science fiction, where boundaries between digitality and humanity get blurred. The exhibition is ‘inhabited’ by automated beings looking for a human soul.
The performance
A SellFable creature awakens in our mundane world. Innocent and ignorant it has been thrown into our mundane world. To be programmed and weighed, labelled and identified, branded and classified.
