I’m thrilled to share that my collaboration with composer Jo Quail is set to premiere on May 11th! After nearly a year of dedication, I’ve crafted an 18-minute animated film inspired by Jo’s captivating piece, ‘Supplication’. It’s been a labor of love, blending movement and digital art to capture the essence and drama of the music. Can’t wait for you to experience it!

Catch the screening of the film during a live performance of Supplication with a full orchestra at Dunk! Festival in Ghent on May 11, 2024. Secure your tickets and find festival information here.

Supplication synopsis:

In a world full of light, dark tentacles slowly but surely begin to embrace its beauty. Amid this growing darkness, a fragile butterfly flutters, determined to survive. Her search for hope leads her to a rigid, seemingly unmerciful deity, to whom she begs for redemption. Seemingly unmoved, this deity nevertheless drops a tear, a fragile symbol of compassion. From this tear, new life buds, a force that begins to overcome the darkness. But this power grows exponentially, to the point where everything seems to burst into an explosion of life. And so, amid this renewed splendour, the cycle begins again, and the fragile butterfly continues to flutter, tirelessly seeking the light.

I hope to see you there, more to come soon!
