This is the most recent addition to the SellFable Archives, a Machine Relic: ‘Vantage Point’. It is an original, handmade illuminated engraving of a SellFable Wirehead.
The work is battery powered, it can be switched off by disconnecting the plug. The customised battery is literally a life source for the creature. The 9V rechargeable battery is good for about one week of non stop (night and day!) power. The image is manually engraved in plexiglas, and placed under a handmade glass dome (with slight irregularities). The plexiglas is hand cut (not with a lasercutter), which gives it a unique handmade look.

”Vantage Point - The wirehead sat on a vantage point for centuries. There was no program telling it to do so. No data streaming through its artificial mind during all this time. (Or is there?) It just sat down, and it waited. The world moved on, without a care. There were many like it, stuck in a state of lock down. A system failure. Random and without an apparent reason. The world moves on, without a care. A pattern can be seen by the attentive researcher. A researcher both caring and curious enough. Human traits, those, and definitely not SellFablean. The failures all happen on vantage points. All wire heads are standing, or sitting down. Gathering dust. As a silent protest against this world’s relentless activity and expansion. As if waiting for something, with ultimate patience.
